The application of high-priced and correctly safe black-white-green UL power cords differs from the erroneous use of black-white-red cords by other manufacturers. In the correct application, one of the three colored wires serves as the ground, while the black and white wires are used for power. However, other manufacturers mistakenly use one of the three colored wires, such as the red wire, as ground, leading users to habitually connect black, white, and red wires to a three-phase unfused switch. This ultimately results in electrical leakage from the enclosure.
